Explore why councillors’ personal stories matter, and how storytelling can build trust across political divides. This session will feature Jessica Hennessy, Organizing Director at Neighbours United, who leads campaigns that build public support for climate action through deep, story-based community engagement and works at the intersection of residents and elected officials.
Jessica will share insights from real community campaigns that moved people and influenced local decision-making, including lessons learned from strategies that didn’t work. You’ll also be introduced to a simple, practical framework to craft and share your own story, with an interactive tool councillors can use immediately to strengthen public leadership and community engagement.
