Exploring the Climate Toolkit for Housing and Infrastructure

Open to local elected officials in BC

Canada’s rapidly changing climate—and associated hazards—are making our infrastructure, buildings and homes increasingly vulnerable. Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada (HICC) will introduce the Climate Toolkit for Housing and Infrastructure—a suite of resources, tools, and support services designed to help municipalities and elected officials:

  • Understand climate change risks and vulnerabilities to local infrastructure
  • Calculate GHG emissions and identify reduction strategies
  • Develop infrastructure that is more resilient to climate change.

This session will highlight how these tools can support elected officials in making informed decisions and prioritizing climate-resilient projects. You will have an opportunity to discuss local challenges, ask questions, and explore how this toolkit can address needs in your community.
